Manifesto by Darren Estrada
In life, adversity is inherent, and although we don't all begin at the same place, I do believe that it is up to the individual to level the playing field. There is something that needs to be said for the fact that human beings tend to victimize themselves, associating any kind of adversity or past conflict as a disadvantage. Instead of doing this, we must realize that the nature of learning is confrontational. This is to say that if we seek to progress as human beings, we must over come adversity despite our disadvantages. Through Conflict and confrontation one gains the experiences that can later be used toward ones advantage. This is why I believe that in order to obtain that which we so strongly desire, whether it'd be a materialistic Item, or an Idealistic situation one look to create for one’s self, you must be willing to face any confrontation that comes along with that territory you seek to conquer. But like most territory's, there are others that seek to claim it as well, but the question remains, who's will it be? The answer is simple, it comes down to who wants it the most.
This is the part when you self-reflect upon all the adversity you have overcome or failed to overcome in the past, this is also when you decide how much further you are willing to go to achieve this desire, and at what expense, this can be identified as drive. We live in a world where drive is the determining factor for either success or failure, so one can only go in two directions, upward toward uplifting gratification of success, or downward, into the bowels of comfort where confrontation and Conflict is minimal. One derives his or her drive from the accumulative conflicts faced in the past .In this moment of realization; adversity should be viewed as nothing more than preparation for the future. The more of it you experience, the more prepared you are for what's to come. By viewing adversity in such a manner one gains perspective, along with a certain kind of confidence in life that can't be matched. Human beings are very unique in that regard. That being said, I do not seek to be misunderstood; by no means should you try to look for conflict but instead look to challenge yourself. I cannot deny some disadvantages are beyond our control and do limit us, but I believe that we must hold ourselves to certain ideals, in order to surpass that which limited us before, taking that in stride to drive us in the future.
